Federal Ministry of the Interior Put Entry Ban for Seasonal Workers on Order – Despite the Start of the Season, Harvest Workers Are No Longer Allowed to Enter Germany

As part of the existing border controls as of the 25th of March, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., seasonal workers and harvest workers are no longer permitted to enter Germany.

The Federal Minister of the Interior, Seehofer, ordered this in accordance with the Federal Cabinet to further reduce the risk of infection through the Coronavirus.

The ruling applies to entries from third countries, from Great Britain and from EU countries that do not apply the Schengen acquis in full (including Bulgaria and Romania) as well as from countries to which internal border controls had temporarily been reintroduced.
